A recent Nintendo Facebook post has revealed that a strangely reimagined version of the Temple of Time will debut in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
In previous games such as Ocarina of Time, the temple was seen in its full glory as it served to help guide the hero through parts of his journey. Now, through the use of a floating camera, the developers are offering a small tease at the location and the ruin it has been left in.
Although giving subtle hints, the trailer doesn’t tell much about how the temple came into its current state or how it will relate to the story. We do see the lifeless bodies of several stone creatures called Guardians, covered in vegetation. This seem to indicate the temple has been in this poor state for quite some time.
The video creates more mysteries to unravel in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but players can discover them all next year, when the game is released on the Wii U and NX consoles.
