Bethesda’s Pete Hines thinks that both Rage and The Evil Within “did well enough” to justify sequels.
At last weekend’s QuakeCon, Finder spoke to Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, to discuss the possibility of sequels to Rage and The Evil With. Whilst Hines agreed that both games had been financially successful enough to merit sequels, he also refused to confirm or deny their existence.
“I can’t talk about the unannounced stuff and what we may or may not do. I get myself in trouble whenever I do that,” Hines said. “I won’t confirm or deny stuff we may or may not do, as people jump to the wrong conclusions. But I do think both The Evil Within and Rage did well enough that we could make sequels.”
Hines also stated that Bethesda already have a lot of things in the pipeline, so it may be while before sequels to The Evil Within and Rage go into development. However, at least now we know there’s a fairly good chance that it will happen eventually.
