Gears of War 4 developer, The Coalition, has released a lengthy Gears of Wars 4 gameplay video taken straight from the story campaign. The footage, courtesy of IGN, shows a much older Marcus Fenix sporting a grey beard, as well as new weapons and enemies.
Naturally, any information about the story campaign can be considered a spoiler, however minor. This is your final warning to turn back and go read something else if you don’t want to know anything about the new type of enemy and the weapons it carries.
Still with me? Good. Well, the new enemies are called Deebees, and they appear to be military androids and drones. They don’t move or act at all like the Locust or the Swarm, but rather like ruthless killing machines – rarely taking cover and moving closer and closer for the kill.
What’s interesting is the fact their armor looks a lot like the COGs armor; could the Deebees be a renegade faction of the COG, or are they a special force sent to hunt down deserters?
These mechanical soldiers pack some interesting weapons, including a new type of SMG called Enforcer, an automatic shotgun called Overkill, and what appears to be a sort of rail game called Ember.
Gears of War 4 is out October 11 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
