Hello Games, creators of No Man’s Sky, have revealed the Survive video, showing yet more features of said game. In this final trailer, survival is the key word as we see blisteringly hot and nightmarishly cold worlds, with radiation, toxicity and a whole host of miscreant monsters ready to defend their planet. The game’s galaxy doesn’t mess around.

“While some planets are beautiful and serene, many have extreme conditions that make survival difficult,” Hello Games say in the video’s description. “Some planets will have extreme temperatures – from freezing lows to scorching highs – while others are drenched in toxic rain, heavily irradiated or completely submerged.”

Players will have to prepare themselves before venturing out to explore these dangerous planets. As they are exposed to the harsh elements, or high levels of radiation and toxicity, their shield will start to deplete. Upgrading your suit’s technology will let you survive harsh climates, run faster, jump higher and explore for longer.

When you do succumb to one of the many dangers in your path (and you will), you will lose resources and technology so always be ready to fight for your life, or make a quick getaway.

No Man’s Sky will be launched on PlayStation 4 on August 9, and on PC on August 12. You’d best be prepared if you want to survive in THIS galaxy.
