In the first behind-the-scenes video for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft, Matt Stone and Trey Parker discuss the next evolution of the crude hit franchise.
Taking several notes from traditional RPG titles, the developers from both South Park Studios and Ubisoft worked hard to make a familiar sequel to the Stick of Truth with brand new mechanics. The title takes place the day after the events of the first game and since the kids of South Park are playing a new game your character from the first game is stripped of their power and must reemerge as a super hero.
In addition to a new story and abilities, the game as a whole features a new level of detail, as everything from buildings to the trees were designed independently so that no two look identical. The best and last piece of the video, however, was the creation of the title, which seems to have taken a fair amount of thought in order to be allowed on store shelves.
Hopefully more of these videos will be made available, but in the meantime, you can read about our first-hand impressions of the game. South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be available on December 6, for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
