The first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series, titled Realm of Shadows, has been given a trailer, revealing how our Caped Crusader must use both his crime-fighting abilities and his high status as Bruce Wayne to take on evil. The trailer also reveals the episode’s official release date.
We already knew the series was set to launch in August, but now we have a date – August 2.
The video description tells us that “in this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Games Series, you’ll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne’s world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.” sounds ominous to say the least.
Telltale’s decision to focus both on the characters of Bruce Wayne and his alter ego seems to have led to a distinctly unique Batman narrative. Could there be different stories depending on a player solving problems as Bruce Wayne or as Batman?
Batman: The Telltale Series: Episode 1 – Realm of Shadows will be released August 2 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android.
