Possibly last year’s silliest and most fun game, Grow Home, is getting a sequel as revealed by Ubisoft at E3 – and we finally know the release date. Ubisoft stated on a blog post “It’s almost time for you and a little robot named BUD to get growing again. Grow Up will be available for download on PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 16 in North America and Europe (August 17 in Japan).”
They also explained that “a small team experiment at Reflections, a Ubisoft studio – Grow Up will have BUD leaping acrobatically through a new open-world to recover pieces of his lost spacecraft. Along with a new flying companion named POD, BUD will have access to his Floradex 3000, a device that enables him to clone the game’s 24 distinct plant species that will ultimately help him bounce, shoot and catapult all the way to the moon.”
The objective of our friend BUD is not to restore his planet to rights this time, but to find his spaceship, aptly named MOM. The game seems to have developed well on the original concepts and with release next month, we’ll finally get to reunite with our favourite physics-platforming robot.
