Hello Games have released a new trailer for No Man’s Sky, focusing on interplanetary exploration. It shows many different worlds and planets most players won’t ever get to see.
However, that’s not because these planets won’t be in the game, but rather because there are so many of them (over 18 quintillion in fact) that it’s very unlikely players will get to explore the same planets we see here in the video. The developers say that even if each planet was visited at a rate of one per second, it would take five billion years to explore them all.
So if you have an infinite amount of free time, and are not considered with stuff like eating, sleeping, mortality or the sun burning out, then maybe, just maybe, you’ll get to see some of these planet.
Everyone else will explore at their leisure once No Man’s Sky comes out August 9, on PC and PS4.
