Dropzone is a 1v1 PC title thats part RTS and part MOBA. We too thought it sounded a bit confusing, but luckily developer Jason Coleman was on hand at this year’s E3 to let us take a closer look at it.

The developers at Sparkypants designed Dropzone with their own game engine, exclusively for the PC. The result is a new kind of game in the RTS and MOBA genres. The game blends real-time strategy gameplay with the competitive edge of an online MOBA. Lacking in traditional base building or PVP elements, the players goal is to mine resources and defend their team. At the end of the 15 minutes match, the player with the most points wins.

Gamers can find out a little more about the title from the official website, but in the meantime, the developers are looking to open a beta for the game later this year.
