Frank West, the protagonist of the original Dead Rising is a Dead Rising 2 DLC, is back in the latest entry in the series – Dead Rising 4.
The fourth game in the series goes back to Willmatte 16 years after the events of the first Dead Rising. Another outbreak has caused the shoppers in the Willamette Memorial Megaplex Mall to turn to dangerous predatory undead. These undead come in many varieties, such as the Fresh – newly resurrected zombies that are faster than your ordinary zombie, and the Evo – stronger zombies that act like predatory hunting animals.
The iconic weapon crafting system is back, and this time Frank also has access to EXO Suits that grant superior strength and let him use even bigger weapons, from giant pipes to parking meters with a little bit of sidewalk.
Dead Rising 4 will, of course, feature a multiplayer component. Players will be able to play together with up to 4 players to complete missions to take over the megaplex and rid it of zombies. There’s also quick match options that let you jump into a game in progress with other players from all over the globe.
The soundtrack of the announcement trailer reveals that Dead Rising 4 will be out during Holiday 2016 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
