The newly released trailer for Pokemon sun and moon has brought fourth a wealth of new details about the legendary Pokemon, brand new professor and the region of Alola.

Solgaleo and Lunala are the sun and moon respectfully. Each of the two legendary Pokemon appears to take on the mannerisms of their celestial bodies in nature and created a special lore inside the new region. Solgaleo, the psychic/steel Pokemon is modeled after a male lion and the Pokedex entry states that its body stores massive amounts of energy that cause it to glow when active.

Luanla on the other hand also stores energy, but does so through absorbing the physical light of the sun, which it then converts into energy and reflects to resemble the night sky. Their entries have been highly detailed on the official website (alongside the three starters) and even include a few insights into how their are perceived by the people of the region.

Also detailed were they new character art designs. Sun and Moon look to have the most diverse cast of main character to choose from. Helping trainers around the world play as someone who really represents them.

Professor Kukui presents a more spirited approach to the previous formula of lab professionals as this professor isn’t afraid to get up close and personal with even the more dangerous Pokemon that he studies in the wild. Now that he is helping the next generation of trainers, he now has an assistant named Lillie.

Hau is a new character who takes on the role as the player’s best friend, and most likely the person who will choose your starter’s weakness just to spite you. However, it appears that he nevertheless enjoys traveling the region while eating as much food as he can.

The coolest new addition to the world of Pokemon in these entries, are the changes made to the Pokedex. The electronic encyclopedia of Pokemon in these games is inhabited by a Pokemon called Rotom. Initially created for the Diamond and Pearl generation of Pokemon, Rotom is an Electric type that can possess electronic devices. In this case, by taking over an encyclopedic device, it gains the ability to interact with it’s trainer and even has its own personality.

There is a lot of new content to explore in the new iterations of the Pokemon franchise as they travel from island to island of the Alola region. Gamers will be able to explore the region all of it when Pokemon Sun and Moon are released on November 18 in the U.S. and 23 in Europe, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.
