BioWare has released an official statement regarding the state of Mass Effect: Andromeda, revealing a new release window and some more details about the upcoming sci-fi title.

According to Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare, Mass Effect: Andromeda will feature “an unprecedented level of freedom for a Mass Effect experience”, new planet to explore in the Andromeda galaxy, and new-gen everything thanks to the Frostbite engine.

We also learn that the game will not be arriving before 2017. While that shouldn’t come as surprise, it is the first time EA or BioWare confirm a release window, and “early 2017” is a decent enough estimate.

However, not all is bleak. Flynn did confirm that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be making an appearance at EA Play on June 12, slightly before E3 2016. We don’t know exactly what we’ll see, or even if there will be a playable demo at the event, but these are still very good news for the fans.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will ship early 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4 ans Xbox One.
