Devolver Digital and Reikon Games have announced Ruiner, a new cyberpunk shooter that will test gamers’ reflexes on the PC. The teaser trailer above will give you a small taste of the aesthetics and action you can expect.
In Ruiner, you will don the video helmet of a desperate psychopath taking on a corrupt system to save his brother. Set in the year 2091, the game will see players using “preternatural reflexes, augmented tools, and the arsenal of fallen foes” to fight HEAVEN. HEAVEN is a monolithic corporation selling entertainment networks of virtual worlds, with a hint of something sinister behind the scenes.
Khoven, DJ Alina and famed anime composer Susumu Hirasawa (Paprika, Millennium Actress) will be backing the action and narrative with a “sensational score.”
Ruiner will be released on PC, Mac, and Linux later in 2016.
