Sega’s newest trailer for Total War: Warhammer showcases the game’s stunning battlefields, and gives us a tiny glimpse at the game’s final boss.
Undoubtedly being run on the highest of high-end PCs, the new in-engine trailer shows the amazing detail that Creative Assembly’s Total War engine is capable of. Every location features the unique architecture of each race that inhabits the Warhammer Universe, and teases the hidden power of each city.
As referenced by the “Welcome to the Old World” title, this Warhammer entry takes place in a very ancient time, as oppressed to the 40K entries. Vast swathes of the land are still covered in ice, while others have been left abandoned or overrun by new inhabitants. The hostile world of Warhammer is a wild, dangerous and densely populated with magical races, meaning players will need to pick and choose their alliances carefully if they are to confront the monstrous villain featured at the end of the trailer.
Sega and Creative Assembly’s Total War: Warhammer is set to arrive on May 24, exclusively on the PC.
