More Nintendo rumors have developed as the mobile dev kits have reportedly been leaked by a Reddit user.

The leaked images showcase a PlayStation Vita-esq design that features Haptic feedback technology. Although stressing the fact that the pictured controller is not the final design, the user was able to describe how it operates.

  • Only the upper ‘nubs’ of the sticks move. The bottom part is static (kind of like the circle pad, but it moves along the bottom ‘sphere’.
  • The rollers on the top feel and look pretty much identical to a mouse scroll-wheel. Though I do don’t believe this will be the final design.
  • Haptic feedback is feels like Apples ‘taptic’ engine. Not like regular rumble.
  • 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom

The controller appeared earlier this morning after Nintendo met with Kotaku to deny previous rumors that they would shut production on the Wii U. Instead, stating that production would continue for the next 2 quarters in the financial year. All the while neglecting to suggest how the end of the year would look for the console.

Much of Nintendo’s mysterious NX console still remains tightly under wraps, but we are still hopeful for a 2016 release.
