Microsoft and Crystal Dynamics announced today the final expansion of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Cold Darkness Awakened, has a release date. They also released a new trailer title the “Complete Experience”, which showcases the game and all its DLC.
Cold Darkness Awakened will take the player to an old abandoned Cold War research base. However, Lara soon finds out the base is not quite as abandoned as it should have been, when an army of nightmarish predators comes pouring out.
“As the illness seeps into the wilderness surrounding the base, Trinity soldiers transform into bloodthirsty killers who thrive on carnage,” reads a line from the expansion’s description. “To prevent the affliction from spreading, Lara must rely on her wits, physical agility, and crafting abilities to overcome this new enemy and shut down the decommissioned base.”
Cold Darkness Awakened is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on March 29, additionally the game is coming to PS4 later this year, though the release date has yet to be announced.
