There isn’t going to be an Assassin’s Creed title in 2016. Instead we’ll be getting a different Assassin’s Creed experience. At AMD’s GDC 2016 Press Conference, Ubisoft revealed a new project in the franchise: the Assassin’s Creed VR Experience. With help from FOX and Practical Magic, the experience is due out for VR headsets later this very year.

The experience is reportedly themed on, and was filmed in tandem with, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie which finished filming in January and is expected to be released at the end of 2016.
Not much else is known, but updates and information will most certainly come soon.
