IO Interactive has chosen a rather cool way to promote its upcoming Hitman title. Partnering with Realm Pictures, they have created a real life representation of the game’s first mission, and let loose a real life Agent 47 on the premises.

They then selected a bunch of YouTubers and Jane Perry, the voice actress behind Diana Burnwood, to take the role of Agent 47’s handler and guide him through the mansion to his target in real-time. The would-be handlers had access to CCTV feeds, a briefcase containing the mission briefing, a computer for “hacking” and a phone they could use to create diversions in the level.

Realm Pictures has really managed to capture the feel of the game. They came up with multiple entry points to the mansion and multiple ways to take down the target. Just watch the video to see what I mean. It’s truly impressive. Afterwards, you can take a peek at how they manage to pull of this experience in the “behind the scenes” video below.

Hitman will launch on March 11t for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
