We just reported that the release dates for Overwatch and its open beta have been leaked, and we already have a confirmation from Blizzard that the game will indeed be available on May 24, with an open beta starting a bit earlier.

The Overwatch open beta will run from May 5 to May 9, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players will have access to all 21 heroes and all maps during the beta, in order to experience the game in its final form.

Those who pre-purchase Overwatch will be able to enter the beta on May 3 and May 4. This “early access” period is reserved exclusively for gamers who pre-ordered and pre-purchased the game, and will not include all the closed beta testers (unless they themselves are pre-ordered the game). Everyone with early access can also invite one friend to join them.
