A new trailer for Adr1ft shows off more of the impressive outer space scenery that the game takes place in, to the relaxing music of Clair de Lune. However, there’s nothing relaxing about a destroyed space station where you are the sole survivor. The trailer states that it will bring “your childhood dream of being an astronaut to life”. Don’t know about you, but my dreams of traveling to space never included floating helplessly among the ruins of a space station.
The game is described on Steam as “immersive First Person Experience”. While it does look beautiful and immersive, some worry that the storytelling will preside over actual gameplay – hence the term “experience”.
Adr1ft is due out on PC, with Oculus Rift support, on March 28. A PS4 and Xbox One release will follow.
