The lead writer of Mass Effect: Andromeda, has left BioWare to go work for Bungie.
Christopher Schlerf, whose previous work includes Halo 4, is on the move after being with BioWare since November 2013. He was extremely positive about the whole affair and has no ill-will towards BioWare.
To confirm what some folks asked about a few months back, I am no longer working on ME:A at BioWare Montreal.

Think MEA is really gonna blow people away; couldn’t be prouder to be part of it, & excited like a lil kid to play the final when it’s out.

All that said, very happy to be back in Seattle, working with this scrappy little company called Bungie that some of you may have heard of.

Going back to Seattle, Schlerf will most likely be helping with Destiny a game that has previously received criticisms regarding narrative, and it could mean good things for the future of the game. At the same time, Mass Effect: Andromeda will most likely stay on track, as BioWare games do tend to stick to a strong narrative and they’ve probably already nailed down most of the intimate story details.
Speaking of details, Andromeda is expected to release in late 2016.
