Bethesda has announced the worldwide release date for DOOM, the reboot of the iconic FPS franchise. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 13, 2016.
The announcement came together with a new trailer, titled Campaign Trailer. If it’s any indication on what the single-player campaign will be like, we can expect a lot of fast-paced carnage and possible bodily harm. DOOM is truly back.
Bethesda also revealed plans to release a premium Collector’s Edition of DOOM. This edition will come with a 12” tall statue of the Revenant, modeled directly after the in-game model. The hideous creature will stand on a LED-lit base with internal, slow-spinning turbine from the UAC facility on Mars. A copy of the actual game is also included, of course, in an exclusive metal case.
The DOOM Collector’s Edition is available for pre-order for $119.99 / €129.99 / £99.99. Those who pre-order the CE or the standard edition will receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack – a pack containing a unique demon armor set with three skin variations, six metallic paint colors and three id logo patterns. It will also include a set of six Hack Modules, which are consumable items for multiplayer matchs.
Once more, DOOM will arrive on May 13, on PC, PlayStation 4 and PC.
