Three Fields Entertainment, a new studio founded by ex-Criterion Games developers, has revealed its debut title. Since the crew spend many years working on the Burnout series, you might expect its first game to be a driving game. Well, it isn’t; it’s a golf game.
Dangerous Golf is “an irreverent, silly, fun approach to golf games that challenges players to break the rules and wreak havoc,” says Alex Ward, studio head. Basically, Dangerous Gold is to golf games what Burnout is to driving games, with the added destruction of Black.
In Dangerous Golf, up to 8 players will compete together to cause as much damage to four locations using a gold ball. The more expensive the damage you cause, the higher your score will be. Players will be awarded additional points for trick shots and ricochets, or for turning their ball into a bomb and setting it off to create beautiful mayhem.
The game will have 100 holes in four distinct locations: a hotel kitchen, a glittering palace ballroom, a rural gas station and a stately medieval castle.
Dangerous Golf will be available on May 2016 through the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store and Steam.
