An official PlayStation Blog post by Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Game Director Bruce Straley, has confirmed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been delayed until April 26, 2016.

Originally slated for a March 18 release, the game apparently still needs a little more polish according to the post made earlier today. The directors stated this most bluntly when claiming that they simply needed more time to “finish the game so that it meets our standards and vision”

After several apologies, and more than a few reasons they deserve our forgiveness, the duo pleaded that thy “know many of you have been waiting patiently for Nathan Drake’s final chapter, and now we humbly ask you to wait a bit longer.”

Thankfully they have only asked for an extra month to give it the spit-shine it deserves. Although heartbreaking for many fans, those hearts may very well be mended when Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is released on April 26, 2016, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
