“We are Overwatch” is the message behind Blizzard’s new theatrical trailer for their upcoming title – Overwatch. In it’s own way, the trailer is fairly reminiscent of most film trailers which are prone to showing cool action sequences without revealing anything about the story.
While there isn’t much story to be told about a game that only features multiplayer arena gameplay, the trailer does give an interesting backstory to the futuristic world it takes place within. The colorful cast of new characters each have their place within the world as a whole, and their own reasons for why they fight.
Overwatch focuses on co-operative teamwork, but to find out more about the individual characters, gamers can sign up for next year’s beta on the game website.
