Mojang’s expansive hit game, Minecraft, will be making its Nintendo debut on December 17. Dubbed, Minecraft: Wii U Edition, the new version of the title will be sold for $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop, and will feature a variety of already installed DLC, and access to future exclusive Nintendo themed content.

The game will include at launch, 2 Battle and Beasts skin packs, Natural and City texture packs, a Fantasy texture map, and finally, a Festive Mash-up pack. The game will also be completely playable off-T.V. through the gamepad controller.

The game has already been proven to be an insanely addictive experience. After the performance of two of their biggest titles at the Game Awards last week, Nintendo of america President, Reggie Fils-Aime, expressed his excitement over the announcement in stating, “With so many included add-on content packs, Minecraft: Wii U Edition brings an exciting collection of Minecraft content and experiences to Nintendo fans,”

Minecraft: Wii U Edition will be available digitally on December 17, as well as over 16 DLC packs that will be available separately through the eShop.
