In what may arguably be crowned the best movie tie-in game ever created, the developers at Insomniac Games have released a meaty new demo in their PlayStation Experience 2015 press conference for Ratchet and Clank.
The new footage details the incredible story telling abilities that the games are known for as they introduce a lonely Lombax named Ratchet, who’s life is changed by the crash landing of a quirky robot named Clank. Having always wanted to be a galactic ranger, and save the universe. Ratchet utilizes his unique arsenal of modified weaponry to rescue Clank from the small army that were chasing as he brings him back to his garage in order to fix him up.
The demo is part of the opening of the story as it also features the insightful narration of the charismatic Captain Qwark, as Ratchet and the player try to figure out how to stop the invading “Blargs”. Although no official release date has been announced, the upcoming film tie-in, also called Ratchet and Clank will be released on April 29 in theaters, with the game most likely following around that time.
