Rocket league is going to be adding a bunch of free portal themed garage items as of December 1. These new items are going to be randomly gained at the end of matches, regardless of whether you win or lose, so if your team is doing terribly at least you have something to potentially gain from sticking around.
The new items on the way are:
- Cake (Topper)
- Conversion Gel (Rocket Trail)
- Propulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
- Repulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
- Aperture Laboratories (Antenna)
- Cake Sticker (Antenna)
- Companion Cube (Antenna)
- Personality core (Antenna)
- PotatOS (Antenna)
In addition to this free DLC, Rocket League will also be releasing a free update on December 14 with a new game mode called Snow Day. This mode sees the field turn to ice and the ball turn into a giant hockey puck. Of course, this update will also bring new Winter Games garage items that can be unlocked the same was as the Portal ones. These include:
- Blitzen (Topper)
- Christmas Tree (Topper)
- Sad Sapling (Topper)
- Santa (Topper)
- Xmas (Rocket Trail)
- Candy Cane (Antenna)
- Holiday Gift (Antenna)
It has also been confirmed that you will not need to purchase the new Chaos Run DLC in order to access this free content. Looks like Christmas came early to those of you that enjoy Rocket League.
