Fallout 4 is about to officially launch tomorrow to the overwhelming cheers of both fans and critics. However, it seems not all is perfect in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
In the video above, created by Digital Foundry, you can see a comparison of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4. While visually they both look pretty much the same, we can see that that isn’t the case when it comes to frame-rate. As the narrator explains, the Xbox One frame-rate can drop below the 20 FPS line when exploring cluttered areas, creating visual stutters that can last for a whole second.
The PlayStation 4 isn’t free of issues, as it too can slow down to a frame-rate as low as 20 FPS, Unlike the Xbox One version, here we see a drop when the player engages in fights with lots of effects like fire and blood spatter.
Fallout 4 will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in midnight tonight – only a couple of hours away. Which version will be be getting?
