Lara Croft is almost ready to begin her next big adventure, and Crystal Dynamics really wants us to be there when she does. That’s why the studio has released the game’s launch trailer more than a week in advance – to give us enough time to get really, really excited. And dang it, it worked.
The trailer goes a little deeper into the backstory, and why Lara has decided to trot the globe this time. It has something to do with her father and his quest for immortality. We also get to meet a few more characters, including Jonah from the previous title, a woman named Hannah, and a lot of gun-wielding baddies who work for Trinity.
Of course, the whole thing is peppered with gameplay footage filled with beauty, intrigue and action.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is out on November 10 on Xbox One and Xbox 360. The PC version will arrive a bit later, in early 2016, while the PS4 version will be available during Holiday season of 2016.
