Red Barrels just released a teaser trailer for Outlast 2. As you might expect, the video is somewhat disturbing, even though it doesn’t show anything that scary. Unless you think that dozens of eyes watching you silently from the dark, their mysterious owners just waiting for the opportunity to jump at you and tear you apart, is scary.
Outlast 2 is a “new twisted journey into the depths of the human mind and its dark secrets”. According to the video’s description, the game “will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do.” That might explain the upside-down burning cross and the uneasy feeling I get deep inside.
We can also see that the night camera mechanic from original game will make its return.
Outlast 2 will terrify us on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Fall of 2016. Thank you Red Barrels for this video; I wasn’t planning on sleeping this weekend anyway…
