Ubisoft has announced that The Crew: Wild Run, the expansion to the driving MMO, will be getting a Windows PC-only beta. This closed beta will take place on October 15 all the way through October 19.

During the beta, players will have the opportunity in nation-wide gathering of drivers called The Summit. These summits will pop up in iconic locations all across the in-game map of the USA, and will feature all sorts of events and driving competitions. In fact, you can get a glimpse at what kind of events will be at The Summit in the trailer above. It appears that players will have to showcase their skills in a wide array of terrains and challenges.

PVE, PVP and FreeDrive activities will also be playable, as well as speed and skill challenges, stunt competitions with brand new trials created to go along the new vehicles that are coming in Wild Run.

Of course, the beta is also a good opportunity to enjoy the Crew’s graphical update. Environments are now enhanced by new lighting effects and were redesigned to accommodate for all types of vehicles. Those of you who are already playing The Crew will get the visual update for free.

The Crew Wild Run will be available on November 17 as a standalone expansion, and in a bundle together with the original The Crew on November 19.
