CD Projekt has finally annoucned the release date for first full expansion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Titled Hearts of Stone, this new adventure will add over 10 whole hours of gameplay and introduce new characters, powerful monsters, unique romance, and “a brand new storyline shaped by gamer choices.” A new system of Runewords will also be implemented. This system promises to have a wide impact on various in-game mechanics and should allow players to experiment with different strategies and tactics.

Hearts of Stone will see monster-slayer Geralt going after an immortal Bandit captain by the name of Olgierd von Everec. During this adventure, Geralt will recruit a crew of break-in artists, spend a night partying with a ghost and outsmart the most bizarre creatures he has ever faced.

But the biggest news for hardcore Witcher 3 fans are the new Gwent decks that will come with the expansion. We’re not talking about in-game deck, but real life cards that you can collect and play with friends. These collectible cards will come as part of the limited physical eiditon of Hearts of Stone.

If you happen to buy the digital copy of the expansion, don’t fret. You can still redeem your own Gwent deck if you hurry and sign up at All you need is a proof of purchase.

Hearts of Stone will be arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 13.
