Halo 5 Guardians’ opening cinematic is a giant leap towards an ambitious campaign.
Before heading out on what should be described as a suicide mission, Spartans Locke, Vale, Tanaka and Buck say their fond farewells before heading into certain doom. Setting out to save a high profile target, and eliminate another, the four spartans dive into an intense fire fight over top a mountain range.
The action is fast and heavy in this cinematic as the initial jump from a carrier, evolves into a run and gun adventure. Each character has clearly earned their title of spartan. As amazing as the sequence is, the only downside is how fun a mission it would be to actually run down the mountainside on the hunt for enemy Covenant and Promethean forces.
The launch of Halo 5 Guardians is quickly approaching, but players will have to wait until October 27th to get their hands on the Xbox One title.
