Bandai Namco, the publisher of Dragon Ball XenoVerse, is challenging players to test their might in an online World Tournament. You can sign up here and vie for the top prize: a custom dynamic theme and background that Bandai Namco will produce with the likeness of the winning player’s avatar. Other prizes consist of a rare in-game Hercule Badge and the set of 7 Dragon Balls.
The Dragon Ball XenoVerse tournament will be held online where players can go head-to-head for the top position in ranked match battles. Contenders can join the tournament by visiting the in-game reception area located at the Field of Time.
World Tournament Preliminary Beta will take place on August 18 at 8 am through August 23, 7:59 am PST. This part of the tournament is basically just a stress test for the multiplayer servers. Match results of this Beta will not have a bearing on prizing or tournament position.
XenoVerse’s Preliminary Tournament will take place August 25 at 8 am through August 30, 7:59 am PST. Prizing for this tournament includes an in-game title, which is displayed at the top of players’ avatars in Toki Toki City. The Prelims are available to all online players where they will engage in ranked matches to earn points to become the leading player. Winners of the preliminary round will receive an invite to the finals, which they must confirm in order to join the finals.
World Tournament Finals will take place September 12, at 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm PST. Winning prizes include Hercule Badges, a set of 7 Dragon Balls, inclusion of player avatar in a custom theme (Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC) or wallpaper (Xbox One).
The tournament will be open to all Dragon Ball XenoVerse players on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in North America, Latin America, Brazil, Japan and Europe. Instead of having a world champion, there will be a first place winner in each territory instead.
