Microsoft’s press conference earlier today has officially opened Gamescom 2015. During the conference, we got a nice little gameplay trailer for From Software’s upcoming Dark Souls III.

From Software’s team has done it again, as Dark Souls has never looked so incredible. Whether it’s the view of a grand, imposing castle town,  a majestic-even-in-death dragon, or even the rotting ghouls worshiping other corpses, this game is impressive in its scope and depiction.

Never one to shy away from intimidation, we’re also privy to the fast-paced very Bloodborne-esque feeling gameplay… and its inherent difficulty. Some bosses are also shown, including what looks to be a gigantic turtle wearing armor and wielding a massive mace that could pancake Shaquille O’neal with a slight tap. Oh yeah, baby. Dark Souls is back.

Dark Souls III is set for a Q1/Q2 2016 release on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
