A new announcement by Dying Light developer Techland confirmed a feature-heavy and story-based expansion called “The Following.” The game’s producer, Tymon Smektala has also stated that the expansion is going to be specifically catered to the fans.
Two of these features are a huge map – bigger than the entire original title, and a new drivable dirt buggy you can see in the screenshots below.
“For Dying Light: The Following we’re adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion. Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor,” Smektala said. “The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we’re packing in here. We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we’ve created here.”
Techland confirmed that Dying Light: The Following will be available to all Season Pass holders, as well as for those who decide to purchase it separately. Press attending Gamescom in Germany next month will be able to experience the expansion behind closed doors, but a full public reveal will follow.
