Guillermo Del Toro and Hideo Kojima are still planning to join forces on a mind-bending video game.

After publisher Konami put the axe in the planned Silent Hills that was collaborated on by Del Toro and Kojima, the pair decided not to get too down about the falling out and have begun work on a new title. They later revealed their intentions with a interview to IGN.

The title has been revealed not to be a re-vamp of the Konami owned title. However, the duo did take the time to discuss some of the themes being incorporated into the game in order to create a terrifying experience. They claimed that in designing the game, they wanted to make a title that could “really mess with your head.”

“One of the great moments in Metal Gear [Solid] was Psycho Mantis. The idea that a game can actually interact with you, , and stuff like that,” del Toro said.

The only remnants of the canceled game, Silent Hills, are the undeleted P.T. demos on PS4 consoles from outraged fans. The new title is in even earlier stages of planning than Silent Hills was, so be sure to be back for more information on the Del Toro and Kojima cooperation.
