Developer Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive have announced their newest action RPG – The Surge.
Set in a dystopian future with a science fiction landscape, The Surge is a mysterious new IP that was described by the French publishers as a hardcore action RPG. The same post later claimed that the official unveiling of The Surge would happen at Gamescom next month.
Deck 13, the developers behind the fantasy RPG Lords of the Fallen, have confirmed the game’s existence last month. Sadly, they remain exactly as mysterious about it, ultimately meaning that all we have until August 5 is the teaser image above.
The developers were a little more proactive in their approach and explained that “this new IP will feature innovative combat mechanics and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat.”.
Deck 13 then ended their confirmation by revealing that The Surge will be available on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime in the far off year of 2017.
