Game developer The Behemoth’s latest project is officially titled Pit People.

Pit People is a turn based strategy game that centers around a group of unlikely heroes after their entire world is shattered by an enormous space-bear that has crashed into their world, together they embark on an arena based adventure.

The game, previously titled Game 4 has been making it’s way through convention circuits last year at PAX Prime and has garnered incredible critical acclaim since it’s inception. The in-game art is quirky and fun, while the heroes are constantly being harassed by a nefarious narrator who seems to enjoy punishing the group winning, and helping the community.

Recently, the arcade style cabinets which have been appearing at conventions across the country, made a stop at San Diego Comic-Con. The cabinet shows off the intense on and offline co-op, in addition to the 2v2 arena battles. The official website for the game has a running list of all the events at which Pit People will be playable.

There is no official release date for the title, but it has been announced on The Behemoth’s website that it will be available through Steam and on the Xbox one console. Pit People looks to be a hilarious role playing adventure and for more news as it develops, stay tuned to Gamerspack.com!
