Nintendo is gearing up for a July 2016 release for their mysterious new console, the Nintendo NX.

According to a report by Digitimes, Nintendo has struck a deal with its supply chain partners to begin production of the new Nintendo NX for a July 2016 release. Foxconn Electronics has reportedly been tapped to build the new system, and will begin a production pilot in October before moving on to mass production in May or June of 2016.

Order are scheduled to be finalized by February or March 2016, and Nintendo is already anticipating the shipment of some 20 million Nintendo NX units in the first year alone.

It is also reported that rival company Pegatron Technology is looking to get in on the deal and maybe manufacture some of the orders itself. So far none of the manufacturers have stepped forward to comment, and no official orders have been placed to any component suppliers for the new system.
