The mysterious new Star Wars title from EA and Visceral Games was teased to be a cross between the Uncharted series and the cancelled title Star Wars: 1313.

Voice actor Nolan North let slip this information during an Uncharted Panel at MetroCon. North discussed the recent departure of Uncharted head writer and creative director Amy Hennig and her new work at Visceral Games.

“If you’re a big fan of Amy Hennig and her style of story, she’s gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted,” North said. “I happen to know a lot about it and it’s going to be awesome.” He later went on claim the similarities between Visceral’s game and 1313 as “along the same lines” while still being different enough.

Star Wars: 1313 was cancelled after Disney decided to shut down LucasArts two years ago, and the development of future video games was placed under the supervision of EA. While the new Star Wars title is tightly under wraps, it might not be such a bad idea to re-watch the gameplay footage from 1313. Maybe it will give us a rough idea of what to expect.
