Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was the last game to demo on Sony’s E3 press conference. Despite some early trouble with the demo, Sony and Naughty Dog quickly recovered and restarted the game to give us this exciting video.

Let’s start with how graphically and physically impressive this game is. Nathan and Sullivan start out in a marketplace after opening some ancient looking doors, searching for Nathan’s brother, Sam. An explosion off in the distance signals the destination, and Nate and Sullivan start tearing through the marketplace in an attempt to reach him. You see and feel every impact with every bystander, the smoothness of the animations, and the reactions to all of this pushing and shoving are almost flawless.

Nathan and Sullivan are quickly ambushed in the middle of the marketplace by a bunch of goons and a truck with a gun turret. The duo quickly takes cover and takes action to proceed forward. New combat animations and every seamless move combine to feature not just a gameplay prize, but an auditory and visual feast. It feels almost Assassin’s Creed-ish at some points.

This is followed by a lengthy and hilarious car chase in which you are pursued by the enemy vehicle. After numerous crashes through fences and tactical maneuvering on both parts, Nate and Sullivan manage to get away, only to find that their target is also under attack, and flees across a freeway that goes across the water. The scene and demo ends as Nathan prepares for impact after leaping off the truck and throwing his grappling hook up to a passing truck and heading towards a large paneled wall.

Are you ready for this ride? I know I sure as hell am! The party starts Q1 of 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
