Dishonored 2 has been revealed to be a part of Bethesda’s live press conference tomorrow, through an unfortunate mishap with a microphone unknowingly livestreaming on the internet.

An open microphone has capture part of a discussion between Harvey Smith, co-director of the first Dishonored, and Arkane Studio’s president Raph Colantonio. This discussion turned out to be about the way Bethesda wants to present Dishonored 2 to the world.

The conversation is then cut short when someone informed the two the mic Colantonio is holding is open and broadcast live to Bethesda’s Twitch channel. Fortunately of us, and less for Bethesda, the conversation as been recorded off the twitch channel by an industrious listener. You can hear it below thanks to Kotaku. who were among the first to report on the leak.

After the leak has been discovered, Bethesda was quick to try and cover its tracks, removing unauthorized videos from the web. But to no avail – the truth was already out there. Dishonored 2 will be presented tomorrow, June 14, at the company’s E3 event. Unless of course its a mean prank or some elaborate ruse to drawn attention away from some other big announcement.

Or maybe it was all just a test, like Bethesda jokingly claimed on its Twitter account:
