Due to popular demand, Sony and Naughty Dog have released a teaser for the upcoming remastered collection of PS3 epics – Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

While the trailer itself is full of nostalgic treasures from all of Drake’s past adventures, this new-gen remastering of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception serves as a sort of preperation for Naughty Dog’s future title – Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

No actual gameplay is shown during the announcement teaser, but it was revealed that on October 9, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be available on the PlayStation 4. Arne Meyer, community strategist at Naughty Dog, has more information available on the official PS blog.

The remastering is being overseen by Bluepoint Games, whose history of work includes the porting of Shadow of the Colossus and the God Of War collection to PS3, and Titanfall  to Xbox 360. While this is the studio’s first port on the PS4, there’s no reason to suspect it won’t keep its track record of solid ports. Admit it – good ports are hard to come by.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be available on PS4 come October 9. Those who buy the collection will gain access to Uncharted 4’s multiplayer beta when it goes online.
