PC gamers are getting the special treatment at this year’s E3, as AMD and PC gamer have decided to bring the PC Gaming show to the convention.
Speaking candidly about the PC gaming market, Tim Clark, the global editor-in-chief of PC Gamer, said: “We’re living in a golden age of PC gaming, but unlike other platforms the PC has no format holder, no marketing department, and until now no event during E3 week purely devoted to it.”
Sean “Day[9]” Plott was picked to host the event. Cliff Blizenski from Boss Key Productions and Dean Hall of DayZ fame were also confirmed to make an appearance, and so as representatives from companies like Blizzard, Bohemia Interactive, Cloud Imperium Games, Tripwire Interactive, Square Enix, Obsidian, Paradox, Devolver Digital and the Humble Bundlers. More participants will be announced soon.
AMD and PC Gamer are looking to keep a little more under wraps until the show premieres June 16, at the Belasco Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. If you can’t make it, the show will also be livestreamed on Twitch.
