Ancestors: The Humakind Odyssey is the next game by Patrice Desilets, the master mind behind the Assassin’s Creed series who recently founded his very own studio – Panache Digital Games.
The game was announced during Reboot Develop 2015, where Desilets took the stage to reveal his studio’s debut title through the cryptic trailer you can see below. The trailer reveals no gameplay at all, instead going through a list of important events in human history.
The official announcement that appeared on Panache Digital Games’ offical website did reveal a little more, noting that Ancestors is a “third person action-adventure survival episodic game.” While that’s quite a mouth full, the title remains under tight wraps for now.
However, we do know that where Patrice’s former series aimed to explore the singular history of a bloodline throughout history, his new epic will be exploring the history of our entire species by documenting our shared experiences from the dawn of humanity till this very day.
