Compulsion Games, best known for the puzzle-platformer Contrast, has announced its next title.
We Happy is a game about a “plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial.” It’s set in alternative version of 1960s England, where everyone’s doing exactly what they should. There’s even a drug called “Joy” that makes sure of that.
According to the trailer above, not doing what you should be doing can have nasty consequences, and something tells me we’ll be doing a lot of stuff we shouldn’t in We Happy Few.
The game still doesn’t have a release date, but Compulsion Games is promising more information at PAX East 2015, which starts on March 6.
