The Mothership is standing by in the new trailer for Homeworld Remastered Collection. As a recent addition to the growing roster of remastered games on modern consoles, Homeworld and it’s development team set a new standard by making the first Ultra-high definition transfer.
The trailer below showcases the updated graphics in comparison to the game’s old look.
Players who purchase Homeworld Remastered Collection are given both Homeworld and it’s sequel Homeworld 2 in a high resolution format, as well as access to the multiplayer beta on the day of release. The games will be available on February 25, 2015 and pre-orders are available now with a Steam pre-order discount for $29.74.
Gearbox has also decided to include a copy of the original Homeworld title, untouched with the exception of compatibility updates for performance on modern PCs. The game was originally released in 1999, and has since been regarded as a genre defining title in real-time strategy gaming.
