Development on Destiny 2 is already underway, according to Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg.
During the company’s earning call yesterday, Hirshberg said that Bungie is already working on the “next full game release” in the franchise. The studio is also still making new DLC for the original Destiny, which was released in September on home consoles.
If you remember the first time we heard of Destiny through a leaked contract, Bungie has promised a new release in the Destiny IP ever two years, with major DLC expansions filling the gap.
Putting everything together, we come to the conclusion we’ll be seeing a new Destiny game by the end of 2016. Whether it will be a sequel, or something completely new we still don’t know.
